Welcome to a new year, of lip said promises
the end is drawing near I said, take the tools and balance it
This is straightforward and unpoetic
my right hand plays the artist and my left hand plays the critic
Your dead cause you dared to dream
now a ghost cause you're caught in between
put words to melody, and let them hear you scream
This is not a party this is revolution
don't drink the punch, its spiked with their illusions
Pray not with hands but with a faith in what you do
and go with speed
Scream these words
We are not ghosts, and we will be heard
Scream these words
We are not ghosts and so, sing
Scream these words
We are not ghosts, we are... we are
I'll sing these words, and I hope you scream yours
Hear the sound, of a two year old ghost as it plays the part alive
so take these words and put them to a melody
so take these hands and put them to action
Take it right off, take it right off
for all the people that have left you for dead, left you here but broken
we are not ghosts, we will be heard
we will never be broken
Scream these words
We are not ghosts, and we will be heard
Scream these words
We are not ghosts and so, sing
Scream these words
We are not ghosts, we are... we are
I'll sing these words, and I hope you scream yours
No rest, and we can take this world
No peace, or they will fuck us all
No rest, and we can take this world
No peace, or they will fuck us all

With Fool
03:40
|
|||
I hope this song will be played, the day I escape
From this latch key prison
Or atleast at the wedding
Of me and them, devoid of blessing
I told you so, told you old, told you cold
I told you so, told you old, told you cold
I told you so, and do you grow? I’ll never know
Screaming, bleeding
It hurts so much just being all alone
And to be sitting across from the crowd and the ring that you
Have me wear
I told you so!
And we’ll all inevitably settle for less
That’s what was written on the walls for all the numbers
Well I, refuse

Anywhere but Homesick

Could you ever believe?
Stop to believe in these...
things that you couldn't see
I'm sure you know
Down to the desert
you left me
This place it rains down, but nothing fades out
they just get painted a different shade
but I'm not changing with all the colors
and now comes to view, the end of summer
and now I'm mumbling something under my breath
reaching for a hand
or just a sound to hold on to
as I'm falling down
I'm screaming so loud
I'm asking for answers
to why I'm on the edge
Theres something about the way you said "dont mind"
that leaves me on the edge, knowing I wont and I cant
Theres something about the way she said goodbye
that makes me know its time, to take that step
Theres something about the way you said "dont mind"
that makes me know its time, to take that step outside
And I know, that its time
Were going, were growing, were going
and now I'm mumbling something under my breath
reaching for a hand
or just a sound to hold on to
as I'm falling down
I'm screaming so loud
I'm asking for answers
to why I'm on the edge

The Meaning of Dreams
04:42
|
|||
I don't fight it, don't fight it anymore
I don't fight it, don't fight it anymore
Its all over, its over now
The sound of engines wake me up
to the sound of my heart beating in three fourths
pumping the blood in minor chords
and I no longer in stasis
weakened, bed sore, faithless
Last night, I awoke to find
My dreams' meaning to, my life
I woke and I found in dreams and in sleeping
Alive
A life lived in useless inaction
Meaning
Dreaming never answered the questions
Dreaming
Open eyes
I don't fight it, don't fight it anymore
I don't fight it, don't fight it anymore
Its all over, its over now
This is why we dont have nice things
This is why we dont have nice...things
Last night I, awoke to find, dreaming for all of my life
Last night I opened my eyes
Cause all this time I've been dreaming I've been fighting to wake up
Last night, I awoke to find
My dreams' meaning to, my life
I woke and I found in dreams and in sleeping
Alive
A life lived in useless inaction
Meaning
Dreaming never answered the questions
Dreaming
Last night I, awoke to find
Last night I, awoke to find
Last night I, realized dreams have no meaning without life

Stopwatch
04:17
|
|||
For a moment stop
forget about the moment
the silence of everyday
the run was broken, and eyes were opened
for a second, to find a way
And the lights, wake us up
to a waiting room
and the clicking of a stopwatch
For a moment it stops
and everything that was so urgent, had to be perfect
the incessant ticking clears
and the sound, of regret
the echoes of "What we're we waiting for"
Well what are we waiting for?
And the lights, takes us out
of the waiting room
and the clicking of a stopwatch
And we all, let it pass us by without asking questions
of all the seconds
Cause after all, whats the point of holding on to those hands
when the minutes make the hours
(All the minutes, seconds ticking away, all the time waiting on a cliche)
Why does it always, have to take tragedy to wake us up
What are we waiting for?
And we all, let it pass us by without asking questions
of all the seconds
Cause after all, whats the point of holding on to those hands
when the minutes make the hours
The lights, the tragedy that wouldn't wait for
the echoes of, all the time we wasted and the clicking of a stopwatch
its over now

This Hero a Villain
04:58
|
|||
Take this, from me now
I have, no use for this
It's so hard to keep up with promises
with all these resolutions
that i've written into poems and...
All my spirited words return
to haunt me now
after, all these years, been lighting up the dark
Set this house ablaze
with words of flame (take this from me now)
(this breath, these sentences)
And im caught engulfed in everything that I said
the structure collapses
rafters collide and im lost
with nothing to save me
All my spirited words return
to haunt me now
after, all these years, been lighting up the dark
Set this house ablaze
with words of flame (take this from me now)
(this breath, these sentences)
Watching from, these walls I see
This hero, a villain, hes waiting, behind these lips
I'm falling from, these walls I see
this hero, a villain, hes waiting, behind these lips
Take this, from me now
I have, no use for this

Hope and Tragedy
06:15
|
|||
There’s a place where all our dreams have come to take place
and for all your conquests, you fail to know her name
I've seen them kiss as you close your eyes
Trading and passing, all your wishes for lies
These sisters, seem to be more before they seem to be not
and your hands, will do but receive
and when they pass, poison in glances which you take in stares
peering over
garden walls, so sure of what was there
the best of lies past with ease through both light and shadow
but they take hold, best amongst the shade of sorrow
they are born, as soon as the seed takes shape
the whispers that we give ourselves, as we give away
(I say I've seen)
But there’s no way to be sure
but I still bear the burns
that mean I have kissed her before
So let your hands grasp, and pull and tug
So let your hands grasp... and pull and tug
So set the flame and watch them burn
(and I’m sure)
When your steps give no speed
When your breath gives, no release
When your breath gives...
Close your hands
So you can pray
Hope you had
Is tragedy
Close your hands
and take the flame
the hope you had is tragedy

The Future is History
06:30
|
|||
I've been, waiting
for just as long as anyone
so tell me, who am i
now?
He's got such convictions for all the same old addictions
so say it like you mean it, now
and I'm waiting and waiting for, a story that never ends
the moral so easily bends
and pieces of mirror surround us all
they surround us... all
Have you learned nothing from all these fables carved into your skin?
Have i lost all hope, or has it lost all meaning?
I know the feeling
I've heard the reasons
I'm showing symptoms, yes, I'll admit
But I'll take, comfort in my excuses
no one wins, but no one, surrenders
Here in these reasons.. I'll keep my eyes closed
Forever waiting... I am reminded
so tell me, so tell me, who am I now?
Who am I now? Where am I now? What am I waiting for?
I know the reason, I've shown the symptoms yeah...
and I've shown you everything
